found all too often throughout our region,” said Jim Parks,
NTMWD Executive Director. “The public needs to know that
dumping illegally along our roadsides and wildlife areas can
be a threat to water quality and the land in general.”
NTMWD provides four local Citizen Convenience Centers that provide a means to dispose of unwanted household waste generated by residents of the Solid Waste Member Cities (Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Plano, Richardson). These facilities are designed so residents can transport waste in passenger vehicles. No commercial disposal is allowed through this program.

Also located at each of these transfer stations and landfill are sites to legally and safely dispose of used motor oil and used oil filters. NTMWD encourages you to properly dispose of your used motor oil and used filters to protect our valuable water resource.
