Lookout Drive Transfer Station Project

The Lookout Transfer Station, located at 1601 E. Lookout Drive in Richardson, is one of three transfer stations owned, maintained, and operated by the NTMWD. Transfer stations serve as a waypoint for solid waste, where solid waste is transferred from smaller capacity city vehicles to larger capacity NTMWD vehicles and then taken to the 121 Regional Disposal Facility near Melissa. This transfer process saves money by ensuring that city vehicles do not have to travel the distance to the landfill. Age and use have made a total reconstruction of the Lookout Transfer Station necessary.
