Bois d’Arc Lake – August 2019 Update

In the latest Bois d’Arc Lake monthly newsletter, you can read about about the busy construction pace kept up during August. In addition to laying the first section of pipeline to carry raw water from Bois d’Arc Lake to the Leonard Water Treatment plant under construction, other activities this month include:

  • piping, concrete and steel reinforcements at the lake’s raw water pump station
  • stream restoration including the creation of 2,200 square hay bales to redirect and improve the course of river water
  • digging to create emergent wetland ponds and installing groundwater monitoring wells to collect initial habitat data
  • ongoing placement of substructure/columns and laying deck panels for the new FM 897 bridge
