In addition to laying the first section of pipeline to carry raw water from Bois d’Arc Lake to the Leonard Water Treatment plant under construction, other activities this month include:

• piping, concrete and steel reinforcements at the lake’s raw water pump station
• stream restoration including the creation of 2,200 square hay bales to redirect and improve the course of river water
• digging to create emergent wetland ponds and installing groundwater monitoring wells to collect initial habitat data
• ongoing placement of substructure/columns and laying deck panels for the new FM 897 bridge
