Title: Director of Information Technology


Role

As the Director of Technology, Taylor Prentice oversees all aspects of the NTMWD IT environment consisting of data and information management, data visualization, software development, software solutions, GIS, infrastructure services, computer architecture, cybersecurity, and end user support. Along with the Enterprise Solutions Manager and Information Technology Manager, he develops IT strategy, priorities, and procedures; leads and supervises IT professionals; and manages and implements all technology projects in support of District goals. He works closely with all District departments to align technology programs with each of their needs to support their continued growth and success.

Experience & Background

After a short tenure in an engineering role, Taylor found he had a passion for information technology and pivoted into an IT career. He then spent 17 years in roles of successively increased responsibility with two municipalities, including as IT Director for his most-recent prior employer. Taylor has managed all facets of Information Technology operations including infrastructure, cybersecurity, web and application development, GIS, enterprise applications and customer support, and he has completed multiple hardware and software technology projects throughout his tenure. Taylor also is a Certified Governmental Chief Information Officer and Certified Information Security Manager.
