Lori Barnett Dodson is a dedicated community leader and accomplished professional with more than 35 years of experience in the accounting and finance sector of the real estate industry. After a successful corporate career, she shifted her focus to supporting nonprofit organizations, working with groups such as the Garland Police Never Walk Alone Foundation and Trusted World to plan and execute fundraising events that advance their missions.
A graduate of Amberton College with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, Ms. Dodson has a long history of public service in Garland. She served on the City’s District 6 Plan Commission from 2006 to 2011, represented District 6 on the City Council from 2011 to 2017, and held the office of Mayor from 2018 to 2019.
