Rick Mann spent 40 years in community journalism. As Managing Editor for Star Community Newspapers, Mr. Mann oversaw 16 publications serving cities across North Texas—including Mesquite, Garland, Plano, McKinney, Frisco, and Allen—leading a talented team of more than 30 editors, reporters, and photographers. He was also a guest instructor in the Journalism Department at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Beyond the newsroom, he has been deeply involved in community and civic engagement, serving on the Board of Directors for the Mid Cities Chamber of Commerce, participating in multiple city leadership programs throughout North Texas, and moderating numerous political forums across the region.
Mr. Mann is a graduate of Texas A&M University-Commerce with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.
