Don’t miss the 15^th annual Wylie 500 Pedal Car Race this Sunday, May 5, in historic downtown Wylie. Kids age 2 – 5 will race (500 inches) in two age groups, in heats of six, in cars provided by local merchants. Signups begin at 1 p.m.; races are scheduled to start at 2 p.m. The event is sponsored by City of Wylie and Wylie Downtown Merchants Association. Cost to race is $10 per child, which includes a T-shirt, and proceeds benefit area Special Olympics and downtown beautification. Trophies will be awarded in the two age groups.
