Wylie will indeed be wide awake June 29 for this free festival featuring top bands, a car show, arts and crafts and great food. The event in historic downtown Wylie breathes new life into the city’s longtime moniker, “Wide Awake Wylie,” and continues the tradition of drawing citizens and visitors into the heart of the city.
The day begins at 10 am with arts and crafts vendors, great food and pony rides and goes through the evening with a 200+ car show 4 to 9 pm and bands performing on stage in shady Olde City Park from 1 to 9 pm.
Battle of the Badges Blood Drive
Don’t forget to stop by the Carter BloodCare bus between 10 am and 5 pm and donate blood, then vote for the Wylie Police Department or Wylie Fire Rescue as they compete for bragging rights in the Battle of the Badges. Battle of the Badges Blood Drive Registration
