8th JBS Annual “Talking with the Eagles” Eagle Walk (Seagoville)

June 12, 2021 @ 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

 Join us this year for a special eagle walk led by Director John DeFillipo and Master Naturalist/Wetland Steward Kathy Nance, and Wetland Steward Bill Nance. Get an in-depth history of the eagles from John, as Bill and Kathy focus their camera lens on the nest and share their view via a computer screen. Approximately 1,200 feet from the new Nest Tree, we will watch Bald Eagle activity and share information about the eagles and answer questions. You will be out at the observation site for approximately 2 hours. Space is limited so reserve your spot today!

We will be having two “Talking with the Eagles” programs. See schedule below:

Morning Walk

9:00 am Leave Center for history walk to observation

location.

9:30 am – 11:30 am Arrive eagle observation site

11:30 am End of program, walk back to Center

Afternoon Walk

1:00 pm Leave Center for history walk to observation

location

1:30 pm – 3:30 pm Arrive at eagle observation site

3:30 pm End of program, walk back to Center

  • Cost: $15.00 per person
  • Space is to 20 people for each program
  • At the observation location we will have snacks, water and a shade structure.
  • Bring along a light weight chair so you have seating for the program
  • Participants must be able to walk the 1 mile route to and from the observation location.
