| Celebrate Asian American Heritage at the Plano AsiaFest 2019 on Saturday, May 4, 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. in downtown Plano. Enjoy live music from musicians using native instruments, a fashion show featuring traditional costumes and martial arts demonstrations. Explore cultural and fine art booths. Visit the food court for a tour of culinary delights and bring the children along for fun activities. Meet us in Haggard Park, 901 E. 15th St.
The Asian Art Exhibition, featuring calligraphy and paintings, is April 8-May 15 in the lobby of the Courtyard Theater, 1509 H Ave. Admission is free to the festival and the art exhibit. This event is underwritten by the City of Plano through the Cultural Affairs Grant Program. AsiaFest celebrates the rich cultures of Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, the Philippines, Bangladesh, India, Nepal and others. |
