Visit beautiful, maintainable and sustainable Plano landscapes that thrived in the summer heat! Discover attractive, drought-tolerant plants that will inspire you to give them a try! The WaterWise Landscape Tour is a FREE event.

You are invited to tour five Plano yards and the Environmental Education Center on Saturday, October 15, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Tour at your own pace, and visit as many – or as few – stops as you would like. Pick up a tour passport at your first stop, and collect stickers along the way. Drop your passport in the collection box at your last stop to be entered to win a WaterWise-themed prize!

The yards on the tour are at various stages of maturity, and each is unique. Their owners look forward to sharing their stories, experiences and best practices, as do the enthusiastic volunteers who will be present to answer your questions. Along with a variety of plants well-suited to North Texas, the yards feature original artwork, pollinator sanctuaries, rainwater harvesting systems, solar panels and more!

Stop by the Environmental Education Center, tour headquarters, to ask an expert about irrigation, composting and landscape design. Experts will be available throughout the day to assist you. Explore the on-site Texas SmartScape® Demonstration Gardens while you enjoy light refreshments. Our wonderful partners and experts include Shades of Green Inc., Texas Pure Products and Heads Up Sprinkler Co. LLC.

See two beautiful yards in one stop! 3404 and 3405 Gary Dr. are adjacent to one another, and they are located seconds from the Chisholm Trail. Consider biking or walking!
