New Strategic Plan for Wetland Center

Wetland Center Reveals New Strategic Plan/Hosts Fundraiser

The John Bunker Sands Wetland Center recently completed a new strategic plan to expand its offerings for both students and visitors. Some of the plan’s key goals include:

  • Supporting water, wetland and wildlife conservation programs.
  • Increasing student capacity throughout the year.
  • Creating new sustainable education space.
  • Growing its education staff for increased students and visitors.
  • Providing public awareness of water reuse and conservation.
  • Expanding American bald eagle viewing opportunities.

Fundraising initiatives will be essential to making these goals a financial reality, including the upcoming Wings Over the Wetland event this Oct. 28 from 6 to 10 p.m.

Spread the word about this special evening complete with a family-style dinner, live music, boardwalk exploration, live bird interaction, stargazing and s’mores! All proceeds from this fundraising night will support the expansion of the Center’s conservation/educational programming and bald eagle viewing opportunities. Learn more and/or buy your tickets here.
