News Stream – December 2018

Our December edition of News Stream highlights recent presentations made by Executive Director Tom Kula, ways we continue to manage costs, water plant winter maintenance and information on a new water operations center. We’ve also got industry conference information, events in our Member and Customer cities, and more.

Having spent nearly 15 years in the planning and permitting phase to get construction underway on the newest major reservoir in Texas in 30 years, the District has specific insight on ways the permitting process could be streamlined. Kula recently shared these insights through panels, presentations and magazine interviews.

This is also the time of year when system water demands are typically lower which enable us to do annual winter maintenance at our water treatment plants in Wylie. We’ve got all the details for you.
