News Stream – January 2019 Edition

We kick-off the new year with a quick look back at some of our major projects from 2018. We’ve had some notable milestones over the year including receiving our final permit and getting construction underway on Bois d’Arc Lake – the first major reservoir in Texas in 30 years! The Trinity River Main Stem Pump Station and Pipeline made great progress towards its completion this coming year. Once done, it will divert reuse water from the Trinity River into the East Fork Water Reuse project (wetlands) for natural filtration. Wilson Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant is undergoing expansion to provide more capacity for daily and peak flows. And a new 100,000 gallon tank was installed at the landfill to discharge leachate directly into the sewer system for treatment at one of our wastewater treatment plants. These are just a few highlights – we’ve put a few more in this short video.

This month’s edition of News Stream also features news about the upcoming water conservation draft plan reviews, links to our tour of Solid Waste facilities last month, available TEEX training held in Wylie and more.
