The North Texas Municipal Water District has taken a major, historic step forward in its effort to supply Frisco and other regional cities for decades to come.

The issuance by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality of a water rights permit for the planned Bois d’Arc Lake in Fannin County moves the district closer to its goal of beginning construction in early 2016.
