Go n Grow Gardening Made Simple: April 1 – NTMWD Served as a distribution point for the Rooted-In Annual Spring Go and Grow event. This edible kit included Rosemary, Tricolor Sage, Greek Oregano, Pineapple Sage, Cardinal Basil, Garlic Chives, and more! These edible plants combine both functionality and aesthetics for any garden. 15 local gardeners received their plant kits, and we look forward to seeing them showcased.


Texas Water Conference – American Waterworks Association :

April 15-21 – Public Education attended the Texas Water Conference where they were presented with two education awards, one for the water-themed STEM clinics in partnership with the Texas Legends and the other for the “No Water” trivia events hosted by NTMWD and member and customer cities.

NTMWD Partners with the City of Princeton to Celebrate Earth Day: On April 22, Public Education shared information about water conservation through hands-on demonstrations using the District’s watershed trailer. Additionally, NTMWD assisted the cities of Allen, Anna, Bonham, and Rowlett with their Earth Day events by supplying conservation materials.


Build Your Own Rain Barrel Demonstration: NTMWD hosted a Build Your Own Rain Barrel Demonstration as part of the BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS) Lunch and Learn series for their employees. The demonstration was recorded by the BSBC media team, and we are looking forward to sharing it with you in the near future.
