Wetland Center offers summer education programs

Wetland Center Summer Education Programs

The school year may be over, but learning never stops. The John Bunker Sands Wetland Center is offering some great summer education programs for the public, including several workshops for educators.

The Wetland Center sits in the middle of the East Fork Water Reuse Project – the largest man-made wetland in the country for water supply. Not only does this supplement and naturally filter our water supply, it doubles as one of the most interesting wildlife habitats in North Texas. If you haven’t visited yet, the Wetland Center is a unique experience and offers a number of summer educational opportunities.

TEACHER WORKSHOPS

If you are an educator of any kind, the Wetland Center has exciting workshops planned.  Throughout the summer, you can experience hands-on workshops in wildlife, aquatic systems, and water quality and conservation. Here are the teacher workshops planned this summer:

Thursday, June 29 –Project Aquatic WILD
Friday, July 14 – Project WILD
Thursday, July 27 – Project WET
