Overview
Texas law prohibits the disposal of used motor oil into storm drains or onto the ground. It is also illegal to discard used motor oil in household solid waste.
To make it easy for you to recycle oil and filters and dispose of other unwanted household waste, we have four Citizen Convenience Centers, which are open Monday through Saturday (view locations and hours, and see map).
These drop-off centers are free for residents of Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Plano and Richardson to use, unless large amounts of waste are being disposed (see landfill disposal fees).
Before coming, bring your utility bill to prove residency and view acceptable wastes (PDF) you can bring.
